The week of June 26-30, 2023 was very exciting for the Montana YAM Trainers as we made our way to the Flathead Valley in Northwestern Montana to complete our first training in this area. We were able to certify eighteen new YAM Facilitators. This is an area that we have wanted to be involved with since the introduction to YAM in Montana in 2016.
The training came about due to a grassroots effort from the community. It involved several current mental health organizations from the area that were searching for one more tool to meet the needs of the youth in their individual communities. Another interesting fact was that this entire group was comprised entirely of educated, excited, concerned, inspired, exceptional, innovative, amazing women. They were challenging, but not threatening; and I am extremely excited to know they will be promoting YAM in their area with fidelity.
As a bonus, our Trainers were able to participate in some team building by making an excursion to Glacier National Park. One of our trainers had never been, so it was essential that we go. What an amazing way to decompress and ready ourselves to the next day of training. Creator has truly blessed us with one of the more picturesque places on Earth.
Currently, we are preparing for our next training in August, just in time to get ready to deliver YAM to new students in our area!
Isn’t life YAMazing
