We’re back online with some YAM updates!

We apologize for having been offline for so long. As you can see the website is up and running again. The site now includes some basic info about YAM and we hope that this can answer some of your questions if you are interested in knowing more about the program or considering implementing it. Feel free to be in touch if you have any other questions.

2020 just started and we already have three courses under our belt. One in Hässleholm, Sweden, one in Dallas, Texas and another in Mehsana, India. Two more are coming up in February: one in Västernorrland, Sweden and another in Canberra, Australia. Blog posts forthcoming!

YAM is continuing to grow worldwide.

  • In Sweden, approximately 22,000 young people have done YAM to this day. The program is being rolled out across municipalities from the north to the south of the country, with a randomized controlled trial ongoing in Stockholm.
  • More than 10,000 students in New South Wales, Australia have participated in YAM over the last two years and YAM is now moving into the neighboring Australian Capital Territory.
  • In the US, more than 15,000 students have so far participated in YAM in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas and across the state of Montana.
  • In India roll-out of an adapted YAM is happening at full speed across villages and towns in the Mehsana region in Gujarat.
  • A randomized controlled trial of YAM vs control is currently ongoing in Bristol, Durham, London, and Manchester in the UK and 2000 students will be participating until March 2021.
  • Students in Oslo are are currently the first to try out YAM in Norway and some of them will participate in focus groups to help adapt the program to local conditions.

More soon about YAM across the world. We are hoping to hear from young people who have participated in YAM and Instructors from across the world in the months to come.
