We recently finished our first Instructor Course in Norway. Norway now has fifteen YAM Instructors ready to take YAM to the Oslo and Trondheim schools. The course was held in Swedish with many interesting moments of cross-cultural aha moments and noticeable differences between, if not the cultures, then most certainly the languages. Particularly the slang of course!
In Norway we are collaborating with Mental Helse who are paving the way for YAM locally. In the spring we will conduct a pilot and focus groups with youth in Oslo to make sure we hear from those who will actually do the program and then adjust it to the Norwegian context.
